We are a full service architectural design firm drawing on our breadth of experience in handcrafted building, historical preservation, site planning and state-of-the-art environmental detailing to produce beautiful designs that begin with a structural sensibility.

We love to help other designers achieve their vision, and can collaborate with project architects and engineers to supply timber design and structural detailing.
LOG & TIMBER STRUCTURES
We operate a dedicated handcrafting facility in Boulder, Colorado where we build log and timber structures for assembly anywhere.

GREEN BUILDING
Timmerhus prides itself on its twenty-five year history of utilizing reclaimed wood to build structures that are not only ecologically sound, but also incorporate the charm and history inherent in old wood.
We built our first passive solar house back in 1986. And we’ve kept on top of the latest technological advances. Recent work has included:
